Ōtanewainuku Kiwi Trust’s public meeting is held once a year to get interested members of the public, supporters, volunteers, and sponsors together to hear about the Trusts’ work and what has happened up in the forest during the past year.
It's a social event where people can enjoy a drink and food and get together for an interesting evening with updates from the Kōkako, Kiwi and Pest control teams. Ōtanewainuku Kiwi Trust says it's also a great opportunity to recognise the work of their fabulous volunteers.
Guest speaker Peter Shaw from the Forest Lifeforce Restoration Trust at Maungataniwha & Pohukura native forests in the central North Island will speak about their conservation work with North Island Brown Kiwi and Whio.
When: Wednesday 23rd July 2025
Where: Tauranga Yacht & Power Boat Club, End of Sulphur Point Marina, Tauranga
Time: Arrive from 6.30pm for a 7pm start
A light supper will be provided after the speakers.
