With just one week to go until the 2026 Zespri AIMS Games, Tauranga Moana is preparing to welcome a record 14,506 athletes from 467 schools for the Southern Hemisphere's largest junior sporting event.

Since becoming naming rights sponsor in 2021, Zespri has proudly supported the growth of the AIMS Games, helping create opportunities for young people from New Zealand and around the Pacific to challenge themselves, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of sport.

This year, athletes will compete across 27 sporting codes, including four adapted sports. For the third consecutive year, participation at the Games will exceed that of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, highlighting the scale and significance of the event.

More than a sporting competition, the Games bring together rangatahi from diverse backgrounds to connect, compete and create lasting memories. The event champions inclusion, participation and personal growth, while showcasing Tauranga Moana and the Bay of Plenty to thousands of visiting athletes, whānau and supporters.

The 2026 Zespri AIMS Games will be held from Saturday 5 September to Friday 11 September.

We wish all athletes, whānau and supporters safe travels and look forward to another incredible week of competition and connection.
