Football 7's Winners: Southern Cross Horticulture
On Saturday 26 September, 31 teams from across the kiwifruit industry came together at Arataki Park for the fourth annual Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) Sports Festival.
Football and volleyball brought everyone together, but the tournament was also a chance to celebrate our RSE workers and the important role they play in delivering our kiwifruit season.
Their hard work, skill and commitment make a real difference each year, and after another record crop, it was a great opportunity to recognise the people who helped make it happen.

Volleyball Winners: Trevelyans
Congratulations to Southern Cross Horticulture, who took out the football title, and Trevelyans, who retained their volleyball championship.
A special mention also goes to Apata after a strong day on the field and court, making it through to both finals.
Bringing our community together
A big thank you to Bay of Plenty Rugby Union for once again bringing the tournament to life and giving people from across our industry the chance to get together and enjoy some friendly competition.
Most importantly, thank you to all our RSE workers. We’re incredibly grateful for the energy, skill and hard work you bring each year.
It was great to see so many people together celebrating the contribution you make to our kiwifruit community.
