Applications are now open for the 2026 Zespri Horticultural Scholarship, which provides up to $10,000 over two years to support two outstanding university students aspiring to a career in New Zealand's horticultural industry, particularly the kiwifruit sector.
The scholarship is open to students who have completed, or are currently completing, at least one year of tertiary study and are pursuing a qualification in areas such as science, management, marketing, nutrition or business.
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, have achieved NCEA Level 3 with Merit or Excellence, and be achieving, or on track to achieve, a B+ average or higher in their tertiary studies.
As part of the application process, students will be asked to demonstrate how their studies could contribute to New Zealand's horticultural industry, as well as highlight their leadership experience, community involvement, and sporting or cultural achievements.
The Zespri Horticultural Scholarship reflects Zespri's commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders and helping build capability across New Zealand's horticultural sector.
